| 2 Year Fixed Mortgage This is a loan where the interest rate is fixed for only the first two years of the loan. If the loan term is for 30 years, than the interest rate is adjustable for the remaining 28 years of the loan term. This is also called a 2/28 loan. The advantage of this type of loan is that the interest rate is usually lower than a 30 year fixed loan. |
